I recently attended Protospiel Online again to play test A Taste for the King with Wagers and individual menus.

It quickly became apparent that wagers didn't work as intended, slowing the game down too much. I played the game a total of 3 times at the event and revised it before each subsequent play. If you would like to read the full details you can find it on the Drentsoft Games blog.

First Revision

The first revision of the game added risk indicators to the back of the cards.

Second Revision

The second revision refined the idea further, indicating the course of each card to give people SOME information for choosing which cards to discard.
