Kingdom or Bust is a tense strategy MOBA-like game for 2 players. Place dominoes around the board to win skirmishes and try to push your opponent back to their castle.

This is the pre-release print and play with a limited selection of tiles in a pre-configured state.

The final game will feature at least 24 unique tiles in 3 distinct flavours.

Gameplay Overview

The objective of the game is to push your opponent back to their castle or be the player with the most gained ground when the game ends.

Layout the grid as shown.

Each player takes a bust cube to place on their castle tile. Set it to 0.

Players take turns doing one of 6 actions:

Deploy - Draw a domino from the bag, look at it then place it face down on your side of a tile with a contest marker so that one value faces the contest marker. If you already have a domino on a tile you may place the incoming domino on a tile closer to your castle in the same lane.

Manoeuvres - Move a deployed domino to another lane. You may return a domino from the destination tile to the original.

Promote - Rotate a deployed face down domino so that it's reserve value faces the contest line.

Skirmish - If there are at least 3 dominoes on a tile, you may reveal all dominoes on the tile and resolve the skirmish.

Advance - Move any number of your dominoes on a tile towards the contest marker. (No more than 4 dominoes can share a side of a tile).

Attack - If your opponent is in check and your are not, you may choose to attack the castle. Increase its bust tracker by 1.

Printing

The files are currently black and white only but not very low-ink friendly.

The game requires a standard pack of 28 dominoes (valued 0-6), preferably mini/travel sized, 2 8mm cubes and 3 stick cubes. If you don't have any, you can print your own on page 3.

If you want the rules and play board together you can print pages 1 and 2 double sided, otherwise print page 1 and the separate rules document.
